I want a President who..

 

I want a President who understands America from the bottom up.  A President whose life has journeyed from places afar to our own back yard and not always from the comfort of a first class seat.

 

I want a President who with their own eyes and ears has experienced the bigotry lying so cleverly cloaked behind the curtain of our society, yet despite that still sees the potential of what we have yet to achieve.

 

I want a President who will be seen by the world as an indication that we are ready to grow beyond the days of previous cycles.  One who truly represents cultural weave that continues to make up more of the fabric of America.

 

I want a President who is tough enough to understand the complexities of the world, yet compassionate enough to understand the complexities of the world.

 

I want a President who knows what it is like to have to pay off student loans, or shop for the best medical coverage.

I want a President who has experienced the paperwork battle with Corporate America from the home office to the courtroom.

 

I want a President who is honest enough to admit taking the Timothy Leary approach of better living through chemistry at some point in their life….as long as it is not now!

 

I want a President who found a faith on their own, after exposure to many. A President whose wisdom understands to need to keep ideology out of the White House.   

 

I want a President who is smarter than me!
